Here at KS Physio, we believe in the incredible therapeutic power of the great outdoors, connecting with both nature and oneself. Our mission is to empower you to take control of your health, improve your quality of life, and if able, to embrace an active fulfilling lifestyle.
Physiotherapy helps maintain balanced health for people of all ages, it aims to manage pain, improve function and prevent recurrence of injury. We as physiotherapists encourage positive development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to overcome the barriers that they face and reclaim their quality of life.
Whether you have been involved in an accident, experience pain/functional limitations that have developed gradually or from an injury, are recovering from surgery or have a disability or neurological condition, through exercise, education, hands on therapy and lifestyle management - we are here to help.
At Kinetic Solutions your goals are our goals. We are here to help you gain valuable understanding of why you are feeling this way and empower you to take control and improve your function.
We take a multi faceted approach to rehabilitation and believe that education, understanding, and exercise therapy are key elements of success. We can also provide manual therapy, taping, soft tissue work and modalities to help along the way.
We want to assist you in reclaiming your function and mobility, helping you return to your preferred lifestyle and to the things that are most important to you!
We place the highest value on education as it is always the first step in your road to recovery. Understanding why our body may not be functioning properly is a crucial and important aspect of being able to implement the change required to get us moving better! We want to help you understand your body to maximize the effect of your rehabilitation.
Manual therapy involves hands on treatment from the practitioner. Weather it is mobilizing a joint, releasing tense guarded tissues, nerve mobilization, or tactile hands on feedback to assist with motor patterning; manual therapy is often used to enhance the effect of your exercise therapy.
Our bodies were built to move. Sometimes when we have an injury or dysfunction, our movement and our ability to sustain loads can be impaired. Exercise therapy helps to restore movement, strength and function through specific progressive exercises that target the tissues or structures that are irritated or not quite functioning properly.
Dry needling is a skilled technique performed by a specially trained physiotherapist using filiform needles to specifically target dysfunctional tissues in the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, pain, movement impairments and disability. When paired with active rehabilitation exercises, Functional Dry Needling can often aid in normalizing the function of these tissues to get you moving better.
When appropriate, and paired with a proper rehabilitation plan, shockwave therapy can accelerate the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Shockwave technology delivers strong energy pulses that are applied to the affected area for short periods of time. It produces an acoustic pressure wave that is transmitted to the body’s tissue. This stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing.
